Just one block from the Hyatt hotel – where the event is taking place – is Chippewa Street, home to a vivacious club and bar scene that doesn’t shut down until 4am. If you’re looking for a night of dancing and good drinks, this is the place.

The world-famous Albright-Knox Art Gallery is a just short ride from the host hotel. A vibrant museum in the heart of Buffalo’s cultural district, the Albright-Knox has been collecting and exhibiting art from all over the world since 1862.
Frank Lloyd Wright Architectural Sites
Explore some of the many world-renowned Frank Lloyd Wright architectural wonders in Buffalo, including the Martin House and the Fontana Boathouse, both of which have frequent tours available throughout the week and weekend.
Colored Musicians Club of Buffalo
If you’re a Jazz fan, you have to visit the historic Colored Musicians Club of Buffalo, located only 0.5 miles from the Hyatt Hotel.
Curtain Up!
The annual celebration of the opening of Buffalo's professional theatre season. 2 Galas, a dozen shows, one free late night street party on September 14.
Curtain Up! is held in Buffalo’s historic Theatre District and is theatrically designed in three acts:
Act I
Start the evening by attending the elegant black-tie Gala Dinner or enjoy cocktails and dinner at any of the Theatre District’s fine restaurants
Act II
After dinner, catch a show at one of the Buffalo area’s outstanding professional theatres. Curtains rise promptly at 8:00 PM. Seating is limited, so make reservations today!
Act III
When the curtains fall, the Theatre District street party goes into full gear
featuring live music, dancing, street performers and surprises! It goes until 1 AM, and it’s all free!
Nature
Eternal Flame Falls
Take a popular hike to the eternal flame. The Eternal Flame Falls is a small waterfall located in the Shale Creek Preserve, a section of Chestnut Ridge Park in Western New York. A small grotto at the waterfall's base emits natural gas, which can be lit to produce a small flame. This flame is visible year round.
Letchworth State Park
Amazing hiking and magnificent views await you at Letchworth State Park, commonly referred to as the Grand Canyon of the East.
Dining
Locally Famous Chicken Wings
Here’s the truth, chicken wings are just better here. For some of the best wings around, hit up Anchor Bar, Duffs, Barbill, or Potters Field. You can’t leave Buffalo without getting some (unless you don’t eat meat). Check out this wing walk.
Seabar
Mike Andrzejewski – our hometown hero who recently beat Iron Chef, Bobby Flay on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay has more than one restaurant in Buffalo, but be sure to visit Seabar for the Buffalo-themed Beef on Weck Sushi Roll or try the dish he made to beat Bobby Flay – the Loco Moco.
Black Sheep
The Black Sheep's concept revolves around handmade food, and friendly, knowledgeable service. Local produce and sustainably raised meats inspire their "global nomad" menu, featuring daily seasonal specials. Steve Gedra, Black Sheep chef and owner, was recently nominated for a James Beard Award.
Toutant
Located just a few blocks from the host hotel, Toutant is arguably one of the best restaurants in Buffalo. Not only is the food amazing, but they also have one of the best whiskey selections in town. Local Breweries
The Buffalo craft beer scene is simply exploding. While there are dozens of amazing breweries, brewpubs, and craft beer bars in Buffalo, here are a just few picks that are right downtown near the conference.
Big Ditch Brewing Co.
Big Ditch is just one of many examples of Buffalo’s rebirth. It gets its name from the Erie Canal, which was jokingly called “Clinton’s Big Ditch” when it was built in 1825. With great food and a creative beer selection, Big Ditch is a must-visit destination.
Pearl Street Grill and Brewery
Housed in a historic downtown building, Pearl Street Grill and Brewery is the perfect place for great food and a drink on one of the wrap-around patios, complete with a view of Lake Erie sunsets.
Flying Bison Brewing Company
Flying Bison Brewing was the first stand-alone brewery in Buffalo proper since 1972. The owner, Tim Herzog, has more than 30 years of brewing experience and has made an invaluable contribution towards Buffalo’s rebirth.
